I seriously think they could work towards the James Beard award. Food - the Pho and Bo Kho broths were very flavourful, but maybe a touch sweet. The new version of their chili oil and chili sauce alone is worthy of a James Beard award. Service - very endearing, run by family that cares. Atmosphere - exactly what you'd expect of a first gen immigrant place - frugal, functional, clean.
Best Vietnamese in town by a Mekong mile. Family owned and operated by a very friendly Vietnamese family who always greet me like I am a part of the family. Everything made from scratch down to the chili oil, fish sauce, and housing sauce on each table. Get the beef stew with egg noodles and the pork patty spring rolls. Best soup in town! Love love love!
There's a reason this is one of the highest rated restaurants in Nashville. For a while it was a well kept secret, but the secret's out! VN Pho is our go-to spot on a rainy or cool day. The pho is the best in the city, hands down. I've had pho in LA and NYC, some of the best places to get pho in the States, and VN pho is up there with the best of them. The taro smoothie is also INCREDIBLE. The only downsides are that parking can be limited on busy nights, and that the restaurant is cash only.

It was here in our family restaurant's kitchen that CMK Chili Oil first came to life. For years, our customers constantly asked us if we would ever sell our chili oil. So In 2024, we decided to share this treasured family recipe with the world, bottling the authentic flavors that have made our restaurant a Nashville favorite.
